The Modelo Set

The Modelo Twin Set.
We have taken on a classic British design and stamped it with our own personality and design features. The fabric is made from 100% 8-wale midnight black cotton corduroy. The jacket features two chest pockets with box pleats, two front lower pockets with tapered fronts, a removable self – belt and a bi-swing back. The interior features one inside pocket and is fully lined with an electric mauve lining.
The trousers are high waisted and feature an extended front fasten for fit, & an inside French bearer allowing the trousers to lay flat & crisp. Fully lined with the matching mauve-pink lining with two back flap pockets.
As with all of our outerwear the buttons we use are made from water buffalo horns which naturally fall off, making them ethically sourced in their provenance in India, each button has its own individual markings.
Made in London with a 3 – 4 week production time & for the first time we are taking 50% Pre – Order payments with final payments being made when the set or garment is finished.

History:
Our ‘Modelo Twin Set’ is heavily inspired from the Safari Suits & Norfolk Jackets of the day, the Safari Suit was originally a gift by British Raj to India in 1935, it’s an effortlessly timeless piece of outerwear to add to any wardrobe and there have been several theories regarding the origin of the Norfolk jacket, although none are supported by much evidence. The first theory is that the jacket originated with Henry Fitzalan-Howard, 15th Duke of Norfolk, who invented it for use as a hunting coat in the late 1860s.
