The overcoat has been a key part of a gentleman’s wardrobe since it was invented in the late 18th century. They were often worn as formalwear to represent the wearer’s social status or as part of their uniform, both professional and military.
Designed upon a more traditional English fit our Galveston overcoat includes a three-button fastening, one inner pocket with a three-button cuff, two single vented front pockets with high notched lapels & a raised collar with one single back vent. It comes fully lined with a crimson red lining, brown Indian water buffalo horn buttons & red rust buttonholes.
Our Galveston Overcoat is made from the highest quality 100% Shetland Wool Tweed in a beautiful Steel Grey & Red Rust Check from one of Scotland’s oldest mills.
We have kept this garment close to home & it is made to order for you in the heart of Brighton, England.

We source dead-stock fabrics, rolls that have at some point in time been forgotten or overlooked & in this case, we found enough fabric in the heart of the Scottish highlands.
